Spending Memorial Day Weekend 2011 with my one and only sister Courtney! Enjoy your weekend everyone!
Lindsey Buchanan, Inventor of TheViceBreaker, It’s A Need, Inc. (http://www.facebook.com/TheViceBreaker)
Lindsey and I have become close friends and I love everything about TheVicebreaker bracelets. Take a look at her page and spread the word about TheViceBreaker bracelets!
TheViceBreaker is a white rubber bracelet with a specific vice printed on the inside. The idea is to snap it every time you engage in that vice. The bracelet acts as a visual and physical reminder to break the habit by snapping you back into the present moment, so you can consciously choose a new thought or behavior until it becomes your automatic response. It comes with a black & white card that says: Snap it. Stop Smoking. Do it.
Even though I love the platform she has already, she’s starting to shift the mission to “a crafty schema for reprogramming your habitude one snap a time. More than a wristband, TheViceBreaker has meaning, intent, and purpose.” Stay tuned for the exciting new line that’s about to come out.
Congrats on the success of 25 amazing years!
Top 10 List of the Wisdom Of Oprah from her final episode:
1.) For 25 years, and I’m still saying. ‘Thank you, America. Thank you so much’ … It has been the greatest gift you could haven given to me.
2.) About a letter she got the first week on the air from Carey in Ann Arbor, Mich: “Oprah, watching you be yourself makes me want to be more of myself.” That was and still remains one of the nicest things I ever heard.
3.) “It was no coincidence that I always wanted to be a teacher, and I ended up in the world’s biggest classroom… I never missed a day in 25 years because you were here, and because this is what I was called to do.”
4.) Find your calling: “Start embracing the light that is calling you, and use your light to serve the world.”
5.) Everybody counts: “This show has taught me you are worthy because you are born, and because you are here. Your being here makes worthiness your birthright. You alone are enough.”
6.) Everyone wants validation: Every single person you will ever meet shares that one desire. They want to know: Do you see me? Do you hear me? Does what I say mean anything to you? Understanding that everybody wants to be heard allowed me to hold the microphone for you all up here with the least amount of judgment.”
7.) Nothing but the hand of God has made this possible for me….. I have felt the presence of God my entire life… Be still and know it. You can praise it, you can ignore it, you can know it. Know it!
8.) It is no coincidence that I grew up to feel the genuine kindness, affection and validation from millions of you all around the world. From you whose names I will never know, I learned what love is. You and this show has been the great love of my life.
9.) Audience, I want to keep in touch. So jot down my new email address: Oprah@Oprah.com
10.) Thank you for being as much of a sweet inspiration for me, as I have tried to be for you. I won’t say goodbye. I’ll just say, ‘Until we meet again.’ To God be the glory.
